Yie Zhong Xie has been charged with six child pornography offences after he was arrested at the ANZAC markets in Campsie, in the city's south-west, yesterday.
Police raided four stalls, seizing 3,000 DVDs. It is alleged the DVDs include pirated movies and three child pornography titles.
The 36-year-old Lakemba man's wife cried in the Burwood courtroom today as she held their toddler son.
The Chinese national applied for bail in a move opposed by the prosecution, who argued the DVDs contained explicit images.
But Xie's lawyer said his client had a young family to look after ...
