Now it has been six years. The global jihad proceeds apace, with well over 9,000 deadly attacks carried out in the course of those six years by believers in the proposition that "Islam must dominate, and not be dominated." Yet we are no closer as a society to recognizing how exactly to combat this foe, and our responses flail wildly -- witness this report that prisons have removed Jewish and Christian books from their libraries so as to allow them, within today's suffocating multiculturalist ethos, to remove also books advocating jihad violence and Islamic supremacism.
This is just one small example of a large-scale misallocation of resources and time that results from our fear and inability to say plainly that we are engaged in a defensive action against a global jihad, and that therefore we will unapologetically and forthrightly take action against the jihadists and their ideology without having to pretend that it is not a Muslim problem, or that Judaism and Christianity have exactly the same problem today.
... the fact that such elementary common sense is not taken for granted, but reviled and dismissed, does not bode well for the continuation of this conflict, as continue it surely will. Unless we begin to speak clearly about what we are facing and who is making us face it, the jihadists will continue, as they do now, to take advantage of our willful ignorance.

An utter disgrace. Columbia banned the ROTC in the late 1960's. And Columbia invited Prez of Iran, Armajustoutamahead explaining that they are merely being 'openminded?' Ugh.

A little intense to put it mildly perhaps, but people just don't seem to register what's happening globally everyday. It's weird in a parralel universe kinda way.

Hey Colonel, yep it's a bizarro world at the moment. I just saw this pic of Ahmadinejad on Jihad Watch. And they let him loose to preach in a university.
Maybe we need to start wearing white shirts with name tags and carry around copies of Robert Spencer's books preaching to the lost sheep.
Or deck yourself out with the latest jihadit gear. Just be careful where you wear it.
A Muslim reader commented that I had a cartoonish view on Muslims. I guess many folks are the same: they don't see the extent of the problem unless something prompts them to look beyond their little corner of the world.
It takes old-fashioned hard work to educate the masses and build an aware culture. It ain't easy for folks to go from a laid-back aussie lifestyle to a realisation that the govt ain't looking out for them any more and they actually have to take matters into their own hands. Or even if you could raise their awareness, whether you could convince them there was anything that could actually be done about it.

Aah, Robert Spencer, Mark Steyn, Michelle Malkin etc. Bloody fantastic! I love these people and they are just ordinary journos! Like ya said, where the Hell's the Government and media regards some urgent and serious informing?
I don't want to hear Leaders saying ad nauseum that "Islam is a religion of peace". Er, no, you just HAVE to say that. Islam is as much about peace as the Code of Bushido, but without the laughs.
